Report Discrimination

RADAR is an anti-discrimination facility as described in the Municipal Anti-Discrimination Facilities Act. Article 1 sub a of this Act states that an anti-discrimination facility has the task of providing citizens with independent assistance in settling their complaints aimed at discrimination. In sub b it is stated as a core task that the complaints under sub a must be registered. The registration and data processing follows from a legal obligation by this provision. It appears from this legal provision that it is necessary for them to process personal data in order to comply with a legal obligation to which the controller is responsible.
RADAR processes special personal data (religion or belief, race, political affiliation, health, sexual orientation, as well as personal data regarding membership of a trade union) from the legal task of the organization. Discrimination is prohibited by national law. RADAR’s task is to prevent and combat discrimination. Because the task implements what is regulated by national law, RADAR performs a task of substantial public interest. For this reason, RADAR may also record special personal data.
For the handling of complaints it is necessary to have at least the zip code of the reporter. It remains possible to make an anonymous report, but if a complaint is submitted, having a number of personal data is crucial. When the person concerned chooses to mediate, data may be exchanged with the person or body concerned. If the person concerned does not want mediation, no data will be provided to third parties.
